The Plasser 12 Ton General Purpose Diesel-Hydraulic Crane makes a welcome return to the EFE Rail range. Introduced in the mid-1970s and designated under the TOPS code ‘YOB’, these self-propelled cranes became a familiar sight across the British railway network. Primarily used for track relaying and maintenance work, they were usually transported to site within engineering trains but could move independently once on location, even performing light shunting duties when required.
